Chiropractic Techniques

Diversified

Diversifed technique is the most widely taught technique of Chiropractic adjustments.  It incorporates many different adjustments customized to the patient.

Sacro-Occipital Technique

Sacro-occipital technique uses specifically designed blocks which are placed beneath the patients pelvis and allow gravity to realign the sacrum.  There are also specific manipulations for the joint between the skull and the spine.

Flexion Distraction

Flexion-distraction technique can be immensely beneficial for patients with disc herniations, disc bulges, or disc degeneration.  It is performed using a specially designed table that allows the Doctor to reverse the effects of disc bulging. Dr. Jensen is trained in this technique and we will be getting the table soon!

Activator Assisted Adjusting

The Activator is a low-force adjusting tool which can be beneficial for patients who suffer from osteoporosis or for those patients that just don't like the "popping" sound that can be present with traditional adjusting.

Extremity Adjusting

Dr. Jensen has participated in extremity adjusting seminars outside of regular school work which have allowed him to successfully treat a wide variety of extremity disorders including frozen shoulder, without the need for drugs or surgery.

Thompson

Thompson technique uses sections of the table that are to designed to drop a short distance during the adjustment.  This allows the doctor to adjust the patient using less force than a traditional adjustment.

Graston Technique

Graston technique is a soft tissue technique that uses metal or stone tools to release adhesions in the muscles and tendons.  This increases the bloodflow to the area and aids in the healing process.

T. Larsen  Frozen Shoulder

I have had neck pain for years and a simple visit to the chiropractor would help alleviate my pain.  However, when I began having pain in my shoulder and neck, a visit to the chiropractor did not eliminate the pain.  It occasionally provided a certain degree of relief, but I was losing the use of my left arm.  I was taking 800mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day to get through my work day as well as using hot/cold packs.  My first visit with Dr. Jensen he saw the limited use of my arm and asked if I had heard of frozen shoulder and stated that he would like to try to remedy my condition.  I agreed.  The treatment was not pain free as he treated my shoulder, but provided almost immediate relief.  I could actually lift my arm higher than I had been able to in months as well as pick things up with my arm. I stopped taking the ibuprofen immediately and only experienced mild discomfort.  By the next morning, I had full use of my arm again and did not have to take any ibuprofen! I would definitely recommend Dr. Jensen in Middleton Idaho to anyone.
